Are you one of those those people that once you get connected to the internet don't know when to
stop?Nowadays internet is one of the most useful tools available to humanity, but as much as it is
useful it can also be disrupting to your social life. People often rely on the internet for doing things

stop?Nowadays internet is one of the most useful tools available to humanity, but as much as it is
useful it can also be disrupting to your social life. People often rely on the internet for doing things
such as research or writing an essay, but many other times it is used for play or leisure.
Although everything until this point is completely fine there are some people that do not know when
to stop to the point that it's self-damaging. When people take out this fact they often try to avoid the
topic but what they really need to do is find help from others. And that is why I am writing today, to
tell you three ways to stop your internet addiction.
First and most obvious would be to stop all connection with the internet, but sometimes this might be
a little bit too drastic. From my point of view I see as a better option to ration the internet use. Instead
of spending the whole afternoon looking at your computer screen you should try to avoid this by
setting time limits of about an hour or so. This last sentence not only stated by me, also by
professionals such as Dr.Kimberly Young, an expert on this topic. If this method doesn't work it's
probably because you lack self control. If this is your case you should try someone important to you
to set them for you. When I say important it can mean from anyone close to you like a friend or
someone even closer such as your father or mother, although it is much better if you put your own
boundaries which could mean you are conscious of your problem.
Another way could be to join a club of people that have suffered the same disorder, this time being
internet addiction. You are not alone in this, as you are not the only one in the world with this
problem, which means other people have gone through it and surpassed it. Often looking for help is
seen in a weird way because being an internet addict is said to be bad. Looking for help is what
everyone should do, just a second ago we porposed to ask family and/or friends to schedule our
internet use, then why should going to a club be any different, even though in the club you do not
have the same confidence you would have in family all the participants will listen to you like if you were of their own.
The third and last one is the simplest one, to try to find other activities to do. As said earlier people
use internet as a way to spend free time, but now that you stopped using it why don't you try to look
for other hobbies such us soccer, going out with friends or even literature? Hobbies will keep you
entertained and will keep your mind busy enough to forget about the internet. Of all three this is both
the simplest and the most effective, so why don't you give it a try?
After writing this I have realised how easy all three of this are but they all 3 depend on you and on if
you really want to look for help, but this my personal opinion and I might try some, would you do the
same?
