One effect of internet addiction is violence.Many boys of the age of 12-17 play video games most of
their time,they are addicted to playing violent video games.First they lose interest in other hobby or
going outside.They play more and more games and most of the time they are shooting games or games
on mostly hurting or even killing people.Those addicted to the internet can spend hour upon hour at
the computer, creating problems with lack of sleep and proper nutrition and exercise.So they begin
to be violent. Maybe if they don’t win in a game it makes them aggressive, but the actions in the game
make them more violent. So if they get in a fight, people who are addicted to video games are more
likely to start a fight then those who are not.(Frances)
Another effect of internet addiction is Depression.Maybe people are addicted to the internet and get
depressed because they see things the wished they had or they play a game on there dream life and
realize that it is not real that it is just a game.You also get depressed if you stop doing what once made
you happy like an hobby or an activity and you stop doing it because you are addicted to the internet.
Or you are depressed because you see “perfect people” on the internet and you wish you looked like
them or lived like them.If you are addicted to the internet you stop meeting your friends, go outside
or even spending time with your family and that makes you depressed.(Grohol)
My last effect due to internet addiction is Procrastination and Lower productivity. A person may
regularly browse the internet or play video games to avoid doing important tasks such as doing something
for work or homework for school.They run away from their responsibilities, and get addicted to the
internet.People who are on the internet the whole time get distracted by it, and intend to stay home and
don’t have the will to go out.Or maybe it happens that a person who is addicted to the internet says that
he or she will do it but then they forget because they are addicted.

teenagers or even adults are addicted to the internet.My brother who is in the 11th grade is addicted

updating your Twitter account.You check your social media more than 2 times an hour.Internet has

All in all is internet addiction something serious and has a lot of effects. Due to video games there is
violence or spending too much time on the internet can lead to depression and you can also get distracted by
the internet. If you get help and get rid of your internet addiction you can get rid of all those effects and
enjoy life again.
